I have to give full credit for this idea to my sister-in-law, Michelle, who did this for the first time last year. We made a slide show from the photos we took throughout the year in 2009 (complete with music) to watch to celebrate the end of the year. Since the Marshes were doing it again also, and since our lives are so intermingled, Michelle invited us over for a double viewing party. There were rootbeer floats and lots of laughter as we enjoyed reviewing the past year. This will definitely be a repeat activity! Here's the whole crew, minus Michelle, the photographer. And the more realistic view of the gang:
We were definitely in agreement that this is the way to look back at life. Photos that highlight all of the fun things we did, minus the working, crying, whining and tantrums that may have been involved, all put to a good soundtrack. Really makes it look good. And it turns out that we really did have a great year. Can't wait to see what this new year will bring.

What a fun tradition! Wish we could have been in Utah on the 24th to see you guys!
PS Glad to know someone else is always making heads turn at all those kids!
I think it's so great that your families have so much fun together - we would give anything to have Chris' brother and family closer to us!
I love your blog - great background too ;-). Hopefully we can go out with you and Shawn again - it was so nice to get to know you both better. btw, sorry to hear about his office - that stinks!
