Olympic Fever

Along with all of the coughing, sneezing, headaches, sore throats and snot filled noses around here, we have a bad case of Olympic Fever. We all love to watch the Olympics. The problem is that it keeps us from accomplishing all of the things that we should be or need to be doing. We all stay up too late, the house doesn't get picked up, and so on and so forth...
For Duffy's preschool field trip today, we went to Olympic Cauldron Park. (I had never been there. And of course forgot my camera.) It was fun to see all the photos and reminders of our Olympics. They liked the "fog" that was part of watching the movie, although it was kind of stinky. Plus, the girls were pretty excited to see a torch just like ours.
We all decided it would have been really cool to see the cauldron lit.
As much as I love the Olympics, it is always a little bit of a relief when they finally end and we can get back to regular life.

Yep, great minds thing alike. It's almost as bad as the Tour de France. I'm pretty sure staying up late to watch is NOT what the doctor ordered to feel better. Oh well.
