'Tis the Season

Santa stopped in at our ward Christmas party last night. As luck (or planning) would have it, Samantha was first in line and she was there before the program was actually over, so she and Peter just hung out with Santa and Mrs. Claus for about 15 minutes. I couldn't believe how willingly Peter climbed up onto Santa's lap. Unlike some of my other kids, there was no fear or hesitation. He just sat there during the whole rest of the program, happy as a clam and studying Santa carefully. (Sorry about the camera phone pictures.)
We missed the picture of Samantha on Santa's lap but she was sure to tell both of them that she wanted a phone. Unfortunately for her, even if Santa brings her a phone (which I don't think he will), she won't be allowed to keep it. I just don't think any 10 year old needs their own phone. So, of course, I'm the meanest Mom out there.
The other girls had to wait in line for a bit, but eventually they got their turns, too.

Shawn also insisted that we needed to sit on Santa's lap. Santa was very accommodating.
Now, all we need is some snow to bring in the Christmas season.
