Ornaments and Temple Square

Every year I give my kids a new Christmas ornament at Thanksgiving.  I forgot to pack them and take them with us to St. George this year, so we opened them when we got home instead.  I didn't manage to remember to take pictures of all of the kids, but Peter's reaction was so awesome when he saw his yoda ornament that I had to snap a photo.  If possible, the ornament is something that they love or in some cases, obsess over throughout the year.  Hence, Star wars for Peter and Hunger Games for Samantha.
The Family home evening activity for the YSA ward was a trip to Temple Square to see the lights.  The kids and I went even though Shawn was out of town.  So glad we did.  It was by far the warmest it has been, probably ever, when we have gone to see the lights.  It was so nice not to have to step inside every other building just to try to warm up.  We met the other bishopric families for dinner before hand and then (sort of) enjoyed wandering through all the crowds to see the lights.  (OK, we didn't enjoy wandering through the crowds, but the lights were nice.)

Crazy kids.

Unfortunately, there are sometimes consequences for late nights out.  First, he was sleeping on the wood floor,
but that later became an over-tired cry fest instead.  Oh yeah.  It's only December 2nd.  Can't wait to see how we all handle the rest of the month.
