Girls JV State Tournament

Along with the boys JV state tournament, came the girls JV state tournament.  Girls games were held at a different facility so Shawn and Brian had to juggle a little bit to make it back and forth to all of the games, but it worked out pretty well, since none of the games were actually scheduled at exactly the same time.

At this pool, in the finals, they line up both teams and announce each of the players.  Kind of cool.

Unfortunately, the girls had to play Kearns in the finals.  But since no one beats Kearns, it was kind of like they had already won anyway.

Some fantastic playing by the JV girls.  (Dare I say they play better than the varsity team?  I guess this bodes well for next season.)

Intense coaches.

You know what makes it all worth while?  Winning medals and a trophy.  (Second place in the state, but like I said, playing against Kearns means that second place almost counts as first since no one has beat them for years.)
The girls enjoying their victory, the trophy and their championship ring (pops).
Happy coaches and happy girls.

Now, that's a good way to end the season.
