Halloween

Oh, finally, after what seemed like weeks of Halloween stuff before the big day, it actually arrived. Peter finally decided on the pumpkin costume for trick or treating and posed repeatedly for pictures.
I forgot to take any pictures at our neighborhood Halloween party where the kids all carved their pumpkins, so this last minute photo as the pumpkins are starting to sag a little is the best I could get. Duffy never did get hers finished, so when I found the Woody pieces, she was thrilled to put them on her pumpkin. It may be my favorite.
You can't see all the glitter on Amelia's and Samantha's originally had an afro, a hat and legs and boots attached. It just didn't all hold together. So you'll have to use your imagination.
Peter and Duffy got to go trick-or-treating at Shawn's office in the morning. You'll notice that they are both in different costumes here than they are at night (an elephant and a witch.) That's the joy of having lots of costumes to choose from I guess.
Here's some group shots before they headed out for the evening. They were very anxious to get going and not very happy that Shawn and I were trying to take pictures.

And one with a few of the neighborhood friends that they went with.
Here's a little piece of Shawn's costume.

He was dressed as Bob Harper, the trainer from Biggest Loser.

Jonas took a picture of himself in an attempt to get out the door quickly.
It didn't help. I made him come back for another one. He was an army guy - complete with his name stitched onto his uniform.
Samantha was dressed as a ham and cheese "samwich." This one took us a bit of time and effort, but I think it turned out great.
I especially love the fancy toothpick in her pickle hat.

Amelia was dressed as Juliet from Gnomeo and Juliet. We put her on a toadstool to help people to know who she was. (She pointed out to us numerous times, that the toadstool in the movie was blue, but hey, we already had a red one so that's what she got to use.)
And Duffy decided to use Amelia's costume from last year, and went as the tooth fairy.
No complaints from me, that was an easy one!
And back to Mr. Peter, Peter Pumpkin eater... (Like I said, he posed multiple times for pictures because he knows that's what you're supposed to do.)

Let the sugarfest begin!
