Megan's Baptism and Jonas' Ordination

After much agonizing, Megan finally decided to wait to be baptized until her cousins were back from Europe.  That meant waiting an extra couple of months, which was hard, but she really wanted those cousins to be able to come.
We had our friend Matt take some pictures of her at Alta in her baptism dress.  I am so glad we did.  I absolutely love how they turned out.

Unintentionally, her baptism was almost exactly 8 years to the day as Jonas' baptism,  (September 2, 2006) which was also when she was blessed.  Jonas and Megan got to share their special day again, since this time, in addition to Megan's baptism, Jonas was also ordained to the office of a priest in the Aaronic Priesthood. (A busy day for Shawn - a baptism, confirmation and ordination, all within the span of 15 minutes or so.)

They've both grown up quite a bit since then.

(When we do things, we do things big, Robbie was also baptized that same day.)

Back to the current year:
My kids kindly posed for a photo for me,

But this is how they really felt about it.

A couple of quick shots before the baptism.

Somehow, (I think because he kept hiding out from the crowd), we missed getting a picture of Jonas in all of this.  Maybe we'll have to go back and fake it.  But he was there, being celebrated, too. And it was so great to listen to his testimony, since he doesn't speak out much.  It was a fantastic day for all of us, and we were so glad that so many of our family and friends could be there to celebrate with us!
