The Tradition Continues

The kids have been counting down the days to general conference.  Not so much for the day off of church, but because of our tradition of making beignets.  It ranks pretty high for them as far as important, not to be missed, traditions go.
I promise Samantha likes bacon more than this photo would leave you to believe.
You can tell Jonas is thrilled to be here.  He just wants to bypass the "making" part of the tradition and move right into the eating part.

It is always a messy affair, but I guarantee there would be a mutiny if we gave it up.
We got our church cookie cutters several years ago from my Aunt Barb.  Who knew how important they would become?

We did also take the 4 older kids to the Saturday afternoon session of conference.  (Peter got to hang out with Grandma Judy.) I am always amazed by the conference center when I am in it.  We were surprised when our YSA stake president was called to be an area authority.  We are so sad to see him go, but at the same time, have expected this call to come for quite sometime.

This is such an unflattering picture of everyone of us.  We were staring into the sun after all, but still photographic proof that we were there - and a nice picture of the temple.
