EQ Party

Once Halloween hits, it is always a nonstop flurry of activities until Christmas.  This year has been no different.  Halloween is over and it was time to attend our ward's Elder's Quorum Party.  (We just ignore the fact that Shawn is no longer in the Elder's Quorum and go anyway.)
It was a dinner of chaos.  No idea what that meant until we showed up.  We all met at the ward where we were divided into groups and sent to different houses.  Once we got there, we found a big basket full of ingredients, but no instructions.  It was up to us to decide what to make with what we had.  I have to admit, when I first found out that was what we were doing, I was dreading it, but it ended up being a ton of fun.
We chopped, sauteed, sliced, diced, mixed, stirred and used most of the pans in the house to come up with our gourmet meal.  (Not to worry, clean up was part of the deal, too.)
Trying to figure out exactly what to do with each ingredient wasn't always easy, but we managed to find a place for everything in our meal.

We had to write down and keep track of everything we used and what we used it for since we would have to report back after our meal was finished.  And everyone had to participate.  We had to keep track of that, too.

We lucked out to end up at a house with double ovens and six burners on the stove.  We needed everyone of them.

Of course, much of a meal is in the presentation, which I think we handled very well...

I'm not sure who decided to spell out VV1 EQ with marshmallows as a finishing touch..

The whole crew minus the photographer.

After we finished all of our clean up and eating, we headed back to the ward for dessert and to see what everyone else had made with the same ingredients.  It was so much fun.   Shawn is now considering it as a YSA activity.
