December 23rd marks the annual Marsh Family Christmas gathering. Glad to see that my peeps were entertaining themselves with selfies. Yes, Shawn is the ringleader here.
Although there is no photographic evidence, we enjoyed a lovely dinner before moving on to gifts. It was a slightly smaller gathering than usual for us since Rich and Sandra and family, and Matt and Anne and family were not in attendance, but we managed to make a mess and plenty of noise nonetheless. We had also brought along one of Shawn's YSA's who has no family around and subjected him to the chaos. I think he survived alright.
Not sure who was in charge of photography this night, but Peter opening his much requested MRS. Potato Head to go with his Mr. Potato Head appears to be the only thing caught on film. We'll just have to assume that we were all so caught up in the joy of the moment that picture taking was a low priority... Although, I loved receiving a hardbound copy of my dad's personal history. I think we were all excited for that.
At the end of the evening, some of us took the opportunity to go on the Jake Marsh roof top tour.
The view was well worth the tromp through the snow and the ducking under and over various boiler room equipment and roof top obstacles.
Jake always know where the good stuff is.
It was beautiful.
As always, I love to spend these days celebrating with our families and being together with everyone.
