Just a little reminder that the date means nothing to Mother Nature. Yep, first day of spring snow for us. Didn't get in the way of water polo, though.
If you know much about our family, you know that from the beginning of February to the middle of May, our lives are run by water polo. Since Shawn coaches the high school team, and Jonas plays for the team, it's just how we spend our time. Shawn and Jonas are gone 5 nights a week, plus this year there have been lots of games and weekend tournaments. And since I know the coach, I got roped in to being a score keeper. So on this particular night, the team had a scrimmage, which I needed to keep score for. My usual babysitter, (Samantha) had other plans with friends for Friday night, so we just took the younger kids along with us. I should have remembered Peter's swim suit because it wasn't long before he was dipping his legs in the pool.

When it was time to start the game, there were a few extra caps, so Peter put one on. (We start 'em young at our house.)
Then Amelia and Duffy wanted to play too.
(They only got to play in the little roped off section by the stairs, so they wouldn't get trampled by the high schoolers.)
Eventually, I just took Peter's clothes off and let him get in too, since it was a little cold for riding home in soaking wet clothes.
Fortunately, either Robbie or Jonas could usually hang out with him whenever they weren't playing.
All three little kids had a great time.
I had to laugh when a couple of the high school girls asked Amelia and Duffy if they were going to play water polo when they got older. Amelia answered by saying, "My Dad says we have to." Yep, pretty much, you don't get much choice about playing water polo when you're a Stringham.
