Found these photos on my phone. A rarely seen smile on Jonas's face. Glad someone captured it on camera.
Love this kids wild, crazy hair.
Had a night of crepes to celebrate our friend Andrew's birthday. Instructions were to bring a gift that didn't cost more than $2. At the end we took a vote on best gift, and this one won hands down. The hands free phone system. Essentially, it's a headband with a little piece on the side with a suction cup to stick to your phone. Pretty funny. But see, it works!
I know I mentioned in an earlier blog about Samantha studying medieval times at school. One of the required projects was to hand sew something. Not that there's anything medieval about it, but here is her finished project - hand sewn, felt food. I guess it's stuff that they would have eaten then - a loaf of bread, a carrot and two chicken legs all served up on a felt plate. Mmmm. At least she had fun with it.
We have been loving the beautiful weather. Peter has been playing outside quite a bit. Samantha got out the bubble machine for him the other day, and it's been blowing bubbles regularly ever since.
It was pretty cool because the shadows that the bubbles were making were beautiful, vibrant colors instead of just dark shadows. Blues and purples and greens and oranges and reds. Of course, the good camera was out of space when I tried to take pictures so I had to settle for phone pictures, but on such a bright, sunny day it just couldn't do the job of capturing those colors. Ah well. Maybe we'll try again soon.
Peter still had fun chasing them down and popping them.
I'm about ready for summer!
