An Ultimate Challenge

I've been putting this off just because I knew how challenging it was going to be. Have you ever tried to give a 1 year old a haircut? Clearly we were long overdue. It was time to get rid of Peter's "Little Dutch Boy" look, and take care of the mullet.

Honestly, this is a multi-person task. Someone to do the cutting, someone to try to distract the 1 year old so he doesn't keep trying to whip his head around to look at the shiny, sharp things the cutter is holding, someone to act as a head immobilizer when necessary, and obviously, a photographer. Since it was only me and Shawn, we had to improvise.

I can't believe how much older he looks! It's not all perfect yet. That may take some minor adjustments as we find opportunities, but it was a good start.

Peter was still voicing his displeasure at the indignity of having his haircut, after it was all done. So far, he seems to take after his big brother in this regard. Only time will tell if he will grow the mane of hair that Jonas has.
