I think we have all the necessary equipment for a successful family home evening activity.
A snow cone machine,
and a dunk tank filling up nicely with water from the hose.
After everyone enjoyed some delicious snow cones, Samantha offered herself up as the first dunk tank victim.
It took a few tries, but someone finally managed to dunk her. She stayed there for a few dunks before someoe else stepped up to take her place.
For the most part the kids were pretty excited to be dropped into the freezing cold water. The Young Single Adults had to wait their turn. Amelia taking the plunge.
Our friend Omar was brave enough to give it a go. He was dunked a few times as well.
More of the kids. Scout and Duffy decided to try it together.
It was pretty cold, so sometimes one dunk was enough, although Duffy didn't even get her head wet.
But when people really lined up to do the dunking was when the bishopric got in the tank. Go figure. They must have wanted retribution for being given certain callings or being asked to speak.
Bishop Graham was really proud of his neon green swim trunks. They didn't keep him from going under, though.
Samantha decided the target may be easier to hit with a larger ball, plus she's always looking to improve her water polo skills.
I love this photo of Sarah lining up to try to dunk her husband.
There was a long line for Shawn's dunks, as well. Like I said - maybe a little retribution.
Drew was another of the brave YSA's to get in the tank.
Samantha went back for another round because she's a little crazy like that.
And finally, we got the last member of the bishopric in there, although Pete brought Will in with him, too.
And one more of the Graham kids decided to give it a go.
All in all a successful evening. So glad school is almost done. Another late night like this during the regular school year would just be too much. Now, onto my next big event. Field day at the elementary school. Wish me luck.
