We headed to the park to play for a while and have a picnic. Anne pulled her bigger kids out of school so they could spend one last day with their cousins.
I absolutely loved this idea at the park. Fitness equipment on the sides so parents could exercise while their kids played. Genius! Of course my kids wanted to play on it too.
The teenagers.
How in the world did I end up with kids this big?
Cousins!
And cousins with silly faces.
After the park, we headed to the stockyards. Clara and Samantha were buddies the whole time.
Cool cowboys.
Woohoo! He talked someone into carrying him again. (I've been telling him for months that once he's five he has to walk all by himself - no more carrying. You can see how well that's been going.)
Waiting for the longhorns to be paraded down the street.
These things are massive.
We played the part of tourists very well. (But so did Anne - and she lives there.)
The pictures don't quite do it justice. It was pretty impressive to see this herd of enormous animals being moved down the street.
We headed back to the house with everyone sad that it was time to head home. There was lots of begging and some tears to just please stay a little longer. But unfortunately, duty calls at home and we had to pack up.
