We spent a blissful week at Bear Lake with just our family - a rare treat.
There was beach time.
A little baseball.
Peter added an extra element of fun to the base ball game by driving the remote control car around everybody's feet. Pretty entertaining.
And we spent a ton of time on the water. We have never had such good water all day every day like we did this week. (Glad we didn't bring the sail boat, because the usual afternoon wind just never showed up.)
Samantha on the wakeboard.
This is what happens when you ask the kids to take pictures. The water droplets look cool, but the picture kind of missed the target.
Several times.
A little knee boarding for Amelia.
Pretty much everyone can find their happy place at Bear Lake - even the surliest of teenagers. It's worth it to go just to see this kid smile.
Samantha was practicing her lady or leisure pose.
Jonas on the knee board.
Smiles all around. Love it.
Samantha surfing.
More happy faces.
Sometimes surfing is serious business.
Lots of good time was spent on the paddle boards as well. (One of my favorite things to do.)
Lots of tubing time.
The weather was perfect for bubbles.
This was quite the spectacle. We had kids from all over come and watch.
For some reason, my kids thought it was awesome to have the bubbles pop against them. Seriously, they would have done this all day.
Who knew that chasing bubbles would still entertain my teenagers?
A view through the bubble.
More time on the water.
Yep, me too.
Om my word, these two are two peas in a pod. Selfie fun.
Terrific teenage tubing time was entertaining for all of us. (Yes, Shawn is included in this - he is a teenager at heart after all.)
Don't mind Amelia's thumb in the following pictures.
They were taunting me by trying to stand up. Shortly after this, I threw them all off the tube. It was fun.
It was so fun to spend that time there together, and even more fun because some of our very best friends (the Jeppsons) from our days in Oregon happened to be there the same week. It was such a great surprise. We had some catching up to do, but I think they are convinced to come again next year, so hopefully we will see them again.
