This is another one of those, "this was obviously a bad idea" scenarios. Remember once again, when I mentioned that I wasn't sure that it was a good idea to get Samantha a cell phone when we got Jonas his? Well, I may have been proven right. So, when we got the phones, we made sure that everyone got a case that would help protect the phone from possible damage because phones do get dropped from time to time. We discussed this with the kids. (Did I ever mention that they each had to sign a 4 page contract in order to use these phones? Well, they did.)
Anyway, 6 days after getting her new phone, (yes, 6 whole days,) Samantha made the decision to remove it from it's case and take it to a friends house with her. Well, I'm sure you know what happened. She dropped it outside on the cement and shattered her screen. It was so awesome. Six whole days before her phone was broken. We would have liked to just leave the screen as it was but, you did end up with little glass shards in your thumb when you used it, so we had to take it to be repaired and now Samantha owes us a great deal more money than she has.
This is the new case we gave her. Pretty sure this should protect it form any further damage. It's a little tricky to use, but those are the consequences, I guess.
And in all fairness to Samantha, I have never seen her so upset and traumatized by anything in her life. She was very remorseful and is extremely careful with her phone now.
This is just thrown in here to remind me about the happy things in life, you know - the things that are far more important than phones.
