Duffy's "Make-Up" Lesson

I took Duffy to a make up swim lesson on Saturday because she had missed a lesson to go to ballet camp.

Duffy: Why do I have to have a make-up lesson, Mom?

Me: Because you missed a day of swimming when you went to your ballet camp, remember?

Duffy: Is it going to be at the swimming pool?

Me: Well, of course it is.

Duffy: Why?

Me: Well, how else would you be able to have a swimming lesson?

Conversation ends and we go to the lesson. After the lesson is over, and we are walking out to the car, she says to me, "Mom, we never even put any make-up on in the whole lesson."

Oh, now I see the confusion. I guess she was a little unclear on the definition of "make-up". I just love how her little mind works!
